Robbery Suspect Shot to Death After Pursuit

A robbery suspect was shot and killed today by police after a chase led them to the city of North Hollywood. The pursuit began at around 4:30 today when LAPD detectives were investigating a series of robberies in the San Fernando Valley and Burbank. Detectives came across a suspect that matched one of the descriptions of a man connected to the robberies and they attempted to stop him for questioning. The suspect ultimately fled the scene and detectives followed awaiting backup to arrive and join the chase. The chase led to the city of North Hollywood where the suspect crashed and an exchange of bullets began. As soon as the suspect got out of his vehicle, he opened fire on the police and police returned fire killing the suspect at the scene. Witnesses of the incident describe it as a scary scene with bullets whizzing by them. Police are continuing their investigation on the robberies in the city of Burbank as they are still looking for three more suspects involved in the crimes.
